Title: Senior Project Engineer

Location: Darwen

Salary: £25K-£35K

THE COMPANY

A leading Engineering company offering specialist design, manufacturing and project management to major clients in a variety of industry sectors

THE ROLE

*Working as part of a busy production team in a general engineering company

*managing varied and interesting projects

*Full project management role, from taking the order from sales team to invoicing stage

*Liaising with suppliers / subcontractors / foremen / colleagues

*Liaising with clients and working to their specific requirements/deadlines

*Raising purchase orders to be forwarded to buyer and job sheets to be

*distributed on shop floor

*Assessing material type, quantity needed and calculating

*time taken to undertake projects

*Assisting in the design of new products

*Conveying ideas on continuous improvement to Senior Management

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

*The ideal candidate will be either Apprentice trained in the metal working industry with experience in welding / fabrication or be qualified to degree/HND/HNC level in an engineering discipline.

*Quality Experience for an extended period in an office environment will be beneficial.

*You will not required to draught or estimate for work but CAD experience would be advantageous as you may be required to amend or do more simple drawings.

*Computer literacy essential

*Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies

THE PACKAGE

Salary and package is negotiable dependent on experience circa £25K- £35K per annum.
