CDL are currently recruiting for a Technician to join our Service Centre. Working in a small team looking after a designated group of clients, you will resolve CDL application and product incidents, reported by clients, within agreed service levels. The role also involves communicating directly with clients, investigating problems on their systems, and working closely with other CDL departments. The successful candidate will possess strong problem diagnosis and problem solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure. You should also be enthusiastic, willing to learn and to contribute to the team.

As part of the Service Centre team responsible for maintaining our client’s business critical systems you will be involved in the provision of application and technical support. Duties include telephone call logging and using remote access facilities to investigate problems on clients’ systems. You will be dealing with high profile clients and will need to be committed to providing a high level of customer service. Full training will be given to the successful candidates as many of the systems are bespoke.

Key Responsibilities:

To develop a good understanding of CDL Insurance Broking application software

To be able to log calls from clients and extract all relevant information

To be able to accurately diagnose software and hardware faults and to be able to resolve a large proportion of client problems

To provide a high standard of customer care to clients, ensuring their problems are dealt with efficiently, maintaining contact and keeping clients informed of progress

Qualifications:

· A-C grades at GCSE, including Mathematics and English or equivalent

· Vocational IT qualification is desirable

Skills and Experience:

· Working within a Customer Service environment

· Customer communications

· Helpdesk/Service Desk experience is advantageous

Insurance industry experience is desirable

Computer literate with some practical experience of operating systems and/or PCs
