We are looking to recruit a suitably qualified Electrical Design Engineer for our prestigious client based in Runcorn working on-site for a blue chip company in Ellesmere Port.

We are looking to recruit a suitably qualified Electrical Design Engineer for our prestigious client based in Runcorn working on-site for a blue chip company in Ellesmere Port. You will be used to working to targets and deadlines within a high pressured environment.

Reporting to the Managing Director the primary responsibilities of the role are:

* Managing Specialist Electrical Design

* Managing services biased, but will include Process/Instrument projects

* Project Managing experience in live environments

* Management of Hazop/Hazcom,CDM and Health and Safety within a construction environment

* Compiling monthly internal reports to include, Programme, Costs, H&S, etc

* Monitoring work in progress

* Aiding Sub-contractor procurement and preparation

* Programming and monitoring or Projects to hit completion dates and budgets

* Flexibility with regards to working weekends

* Responsible for the delivery of multi discipline projects through the installation team

Essential Skills

• HNC level qualified engineer in Electronic / Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

• Computer literate in Microsoft applications.

• Experience in working with PLC programming and AC and DC drive systems.

• Good communication skills at all levels, verbal and written

• Ability to contribute ideas/innovation to continued improvement of machine design.

• Ability to assess, decision make & address situations

• Must be self-motivated with a desire to achieve high standards.

• AutoCAD (R14 onward)

• Willing to work as a full, supportive team member.

• Ability to contribute ideas/innovation to continued improvement of machine design and drawing systems.

• Must be self motivated with a desire to achieve high standards.

Desirable Skills

• Process system experience

• Ability to explain instructions & procedures to vendors & customers

• A strong sense of problem /solution ownership.

• Must be able to meet target completion of tasks, & make decisions affecting relating to targets.

• Availability and unhindered capability for worldwide travel.

• Promis-e – Electrical Drafting Package.

• RSWire – Electrical Drafting Package.

• BS7671:2001 IEE Wiring Regulations.

• Appreciation of pneumatic, hydraulic, machine controls & other mechanical systems.

• Must be able to work unsupervised and be self motivated.

• Willing to develop on existing skills.

• Ability to explain instructions & procedures to vendors and customers.

• A strong sense of ownership.
