The Liverpool Recruitment Company are urgently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Senior Tooling buyer. Our client are a manufacturing organisation based in the North West with a well known and established presence within their market place. Due to company expansion and new purchasing initiatives they are now looking to recruit a Senior tooling buyer to specialise engineering spares for the site.

Taking charge and having full responsibility for the Purchasing and inventory control of tooling and Engineering Spares this role will involve having regular liaison and negotiation with a Global supply base your negotiation skills must be second to none you must be confident and outgoing and able to handle yourself in such a hard driven target hitting field.

You will be responsible to gather relevant information and report on Purchasing and supplier KPIs in terms of full delivery, cost and quality. It will be your responsibility to ensure that the correct stocks are available in terms of tooling and engineering spares so that Production is not effected and maintenance departments can service the repairs of capital equipment efficiently.

You should have an established record within a Senior buyer or Purchasing Manager role within a manufacturing organisation, you will have had experience of purchasing engineering spares, capital equipment or tooling. It is desirable that you have had experience in dealing with a Global supply base and have had experience of SAP but this is in no way essential. Ideally you will be CIPS qualified although if you have relevant experience this may be overlooked.

Alongside the opportunity to work for a dynamic organisation where change implementation is accessible you will also be rewarded with a salary of between £35,000 and £45,000 dependant on level of relevant experience.
