Job: Service/Field Engineer, Liverpool Recruitment Company

Service/Field Engineer required for a worldwide leading supplier of equipment and services to packaging manufacturers in the folding carton, corrugated board and flexible material industries. Key functions will include:

Essential Skills

• ONC level qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

• Servicing Equipment.

• Computer literate in Microsoft applications.

• Availability and unhindered capability for worldwide travel.

• Good communication skills at all levels, verbal and written.

Willing to lend support and or assistance to colleagues as and when required/practicable.

• Ability to assess, decision make & address situations.

 Ability to explain instructions & procedures to vendors & customers.

 Ability to explain instructions & procedures to vendors & customers.

Represent the organisation as professional and proficient on occasions of interfacing with customers

• Must be self-motivated with a desire to achieve high standards.

• Must be able to meet task completion targets.

• Ability to make decisions which affect targets and communicate those decisions effectively to others.

• Able to work un-supervised, be self-motivated.

Able to supervise others if required

Travel/working away is an integral part of the role, the ideal candidate would have no restrictions that would interfere with world wide travel and periods of 1-3 weeks working away from home

Desirable Skills

• HNC level qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

• Process/Vacuum system.

• Pneumatic and hydraulic, machine controls, & other mechanical systems.

• Ability to contribute ideas/innovation to continued improvement of machine design.

Salary: £9.19 + outworking payments. Overtime is payable in this position.

Outworking payments £36.75 per day Mon-Fri £92.40 Sat £124.05 Sun = £400.20 full week.

40 hrs per week. Core hours 08:30-17:00. Half an hour for lunch

33 days holiday (inc statutory), sickness payment, life assurance and pension scheme after qualifying periods.
