The successful candidate will help deliver I.T. support service to agreed SLAs, measure and monitor service levels, adhere to and help improve admin procedures and be an integral part of the I.T. team

IT. Service – Desk Operator

The successful candidate will help deliver I.T. support service to agreed SLAs, measure and monitor service levels, adhere to and help improve admin procedures and be an integral part of the I.T. team

Key responsibilities include to:

• Provide advice, first-line support and procurement administration on supported I.T. products and services

• Manage serious incidents, effectively communicate & escalate appropriately

• Help ensure IT Support Service is managed in line with SLA targets

• Manage personal and IT Service Desk team workload to agreed SLA targets

• Recognise areas for improvement to process/procedures and feed these to line manager

Successful applicants should also:

• Have in-depth knowledge of support and use of Microsoft Office XP products

• Have at least one year’s experience of using a mainstream Help-Desk application

• Be an effective team member with a strong “can do” attitude & impeccable customer service skills

• Have effective communication & interpersonal skills - able to liaise at all levels, both with internal & external customers

• Be able to communicate technology to a non-technical audience
