My client is recognized as the UK's leading independent hotel reservation, business travel and event management agency . For the past thirty years they have provided a global accommodation conference and event management and business travel service for some of the country's leading blue chip companies, public sector and SMEs.

This is a rare opportunity to join them as Operations Manager of their Conference and Events Department.

Key Responsibilites

Effectively manage the Conference and Events teams to meet agreed targets in terms of volumes, costs, quality, efficiency and profitability.

2.Ensure that resources are continuously matched to resource volumes and operational costs are minimised

3.Identify any opportunities for increasing revenues and improve the quality of service delivered to existing and new customers by reviewing and improving processes and eliminating the root causes of problems.

4.Ensure customer issues are promptly followed up and work with the customer care team to improve the customer experience.

5.Develop a performance improvement culture and drive performance through appraisals, reviews, support and coaching.

6.Develop training and development plans for the team

7.Implement a continuous improvement methodology and demonstrate the effectiveness through measurement of KPIs

8.Implement a communications plan to improve communications throughout the team

9.Maintain strong links with Finance, and rest of operations.

10.Work with IT to develop future systems and processes for conference and events.

You will be an experienced manager of people with a proven track record in the field of Conf and Events. Salary DOE but upto £35K
