Job: Mechanical Engineer, Liverpool Recruitment Company

Mechanical Engineer, who will require HNC / HND Engineering & experience in Compressors; HTHW Boilers; Chilled Water Systems; Utilities; HVAC; Extraction systems; Sprinkler system. As the Mechanical Engineer you will be responsible prepararing CAPEX reports. The Mecahnical Engineer will also develop, specify and manage the installation of new production equipment.

We are seeking an exceptionally talented pragmatic engineer who’s qualified to a minimum HNC level but is driven by that desire to develop their potential to the full. You will have gained your experience either in a chemical or pharmaceutical environment where you have been exposed to preparing CAPEX reports, supporting operations and optimising plant capability through detailed assessment performance and process. Identifying future manufacturing requirements and opportunities to maximise efficiency and reduce operational costs. Also developing, specifying and managing the installation of new production equipment.

DUTIES:

1. Manage projects effectively in a variety of areas. Ensure that these projects are completed on time, to the right quality and within the budget defined.

2. Manage and monitor the effective use of the expense and capital budgets.

3. Ensure safe working methods are used on all projects and adequate health & safety training is carried out to meet the companies’ requirements in terms of legislation.

4. Identify, investigate & implement projects to increase services capacity, reduce costs, increase efficiency or improve quality.

5. Ensure an effective maintenance and support infrastructure is in place for all services across the site. This includes legislative testing requirements. The main services are :

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of HNC / HND in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering. Minimum of 3 years of Mechanical Engineering experience in supporting a manufacturing environment. Proven project leadership skills on varied projects. Self-motivated with strong analytical, decision making, presentation, problem solving, interpersonal, teamwork and written / oral communication skills.
