Synopsis

Major loss surveyor is required to join an international accountancy practice within it forensic services operation. To operate from a base in either the North or Midlands but with the willingness to travel nationally.

Job Profile

International accountancy practice requires major loss surveyor to join its forensic services operation for an essential technical role dealing with a small number of high quality complex major loss incidents both within the UK and overseas. The operational base is flexible but would ideally be in either the North or the Midlands. The role will require the individual to work closely with insurance lawyers/litigators and corporate clients primarily on dispute resolution issues surrounding policy liability and quantum.

Applicant Requirements

Candidates should have a quantity surveying, the MRICS qualification, at least 5 years experience within a major loss capacity and preferably the ACILA as a secondary qualification. The ability to work on one's own initiative is seen as a distinct advantage, as is the ability to attract business from the insurance claims arena. The general salary and benefits package available is significantly ahead of market rates within adjusting and will attract at all levels.
