Dynamic force in the UK commercial market looking for a Deputy Regional Underwriting Manager (CIP/ACII qualified), with commercial risk underwriting experience, for their Manchester office.

Job Profile

Deputy Regional Underwriting Manager required to achieve income and profit objectives by supporting the technical management of the branch account and by delivering an efficient case underwriting service to Brokers. Main tasks include contributing to the development of the branch plan, achievement of technical/customer service standards, enhancement of company standing, motivation/development of underwriting staff and work flow control.

Applicant Requirements

Candidates will have commercial risk underwriting experience, strong interpersonal skills and work in a structured, planned manner. Technical expertise will include CIP/ACII, an understanding of trade processes and hazards, numeracy/analysis skills and relevant law and legislation. In addition to excellent rating skills, knowledge of underwriting principles, management systems, market wordings and leadership skills.
