Synopsis

Manchester city centre office of this major insurance company looking for an experienced Commercial Underwriter to underwriter commercial risk from a designated panel.

Job Profile

Commercial Underwriter sought to underwrite new and existing business profitably and accurately and maintain/develop business relationships with intermediaries. Duties will include producing accurate documentation, actively encouraging generation of profitable new business, responding to information requests and assisting/coaching colleagues with technical and procedural aspect of underwriting.

Applicant Requirements

Previous experience of working within a commercial insurance environment and commercial underwriting is essential. Candidates should also possess excellent technical product knowledge and strong interpersonal, communication,s ales and negotiation skills.
