Commercial Underwriting Team Leader required by our client a Global Commercial Insurance Company to join their expanding Manchester city centre team.

Job Profile

Excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual to work as a Commercial Team Leader within this well respect Global insurance company. The role involves the strategic planning, management and direct accountability for the retention of renewal policies within the commercial insurance account. The position requires the management both operationally and technically of a team of underwriters to effectively underwrite and maintain a considerable renewal portfolio. In addition you will be responsible for facilitating the effective relationships with other team leaders, branch technical underwriters, the claims divison, development branches and a panel of brokers in order to enhance and improve service levels.

Applicant Requirements

The ideal applicant will have strong technical underwriting knowledge allied with team leading and or supervisory experience. In addition as this is a high profile and developing position within the organisation, you will be expected to be ambitious, career focussed, highly professional and possess excellent presentation and face to face skills, ideally with a strong academic background.
