Job: Business Services Team Leader, Independent Appointments

Synopsis

Manchester office of major insurance company looking for a Business Services Team Leader. The role is non-technical but an understanding of underwriting priorities and strategies is essential. The successful candidate will have previous supervisory and leadership experience.

Job Profile

This is a challenging opportunity to lead the branch Business Services, Motor/Non Motor and Underwriting Support teams, ensuring provision of excellent operational service and maintenance of underwriting standards for existing business. Role is to ensure objectives are met including achievement of financial and other targets, manage branch resources and workflow, maintain excellent customer relationships, motivate/develop staff and ensure strong compliance focus.

Applicant Requirements

Candidates will possess strong operational management skills and ideally have an appreciation of commercial lines underwriting. Preferably you will have experience of leading a team and be able to demonstrate a high level of understanding of people management and motivation of employees. ACII or evidence of progress towards is required. Personal attributes sought include excellent communication skills, highly developed organisation and planning skills and the ability to develop and manage customer relationships.
