Job Profile

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join the Manchester team of one of the largest integrated regulatory practices in the UK. Their team is highly experienced in defending allegations against, and prosecutions of, companies and individuals and is able to deal with all stages of the investigations. The successful candidate will be exposed to the full remit of Corporate Defence work, with particular focus on contentious criminal work in a corporate environment. The team handles all types of investigations including those involving tax and accounting irregularities, corruption, bribery, fraud, cartels, price fixing and referrals from Audit Committees as well as dealing with raids, search and seizure, extradition and cross-border arrest warrants. They advise on the powers of all the main Regulators and how to deal with them, including HM Revenue & Customs, the FSA, OFT, SFO, DTI, Health & Safety Executive, Environment Agency, Competition Commission, Serious Organised Crime Agency, Police and overseas Regulators

Applicant Requirements

We envisage that the successful candidate will possess at least 3 + year’s post qualified experience (PQE) from either another leading law firm, relevant law enforcement agency or in-house firm, however we will accept applications from candidates of all levels of experience, who are able to demonstrate the necessary skills for the role. The successful candidate will be exposed to the full remit of Corporate Defence work, with particular focus on contentious criminal work in a corporate environment.
