A large law firm based in Manchester is seeking a highly experienced Employment Solicitor.

Job Profile

This highly respected law firm who specialise in providing employment advice to public health sector clients, (with private clients including many blue chip companies) is seeking an experienced Employment Solicitor. You will have responsibility for a split caseload of contentious and non contentious work, dealing with complex and challenging issues for a variety of large well-known private sector clients. You will develop strong working relationships with contacts in HR and legal departments as well as board directors within client organisations, as well as conducting training and briefing sessions for clients relating to impact of new legislation and other employment law issues.

Applicant Requirements

We envisage that the successful candidate will possess at least 5 year’s post qualified experience (PQE); however we will accept applications from candidates of all levels of experience, who are able to demonstrate the necessary skills for the role. You will have good academic record within employment law, whilst having previous experience of managing, supervising and coaching less experienced members of the team is essential (team members are 3 years PQE and below). Corporate transaction experience is preferable although not essential and you will be required to be an independent thinker and a good communicator, whilst having a flexible approach with a focus on generating commercial solutions to problems on behalf of clients.
