This well-established law firm are seeking to recruit a NQ - 3 years PQE Pensions Solicitor to join their team based in Manchester.

Job Profile

An opportunity has arisen for a Newly Qualified Pensions Solicitor to join this leading international firm based in Manchester. You will work within a well-established team with the largest employers and occupational pension schemes. It includes public sector schemes, privatised industry-wide schemes, employers, trustees, product providers, banks, insurers, unit trust managers, UK Government departments and foreign governments. The role involves general pension’s advisory work for companies and trustees and pensions support in corporate transactions. The successful candidate will be required to provide advice to clients on the pension aspects of corporate acquisitions, disposals, mergers and reorganisations, assisting employers and trustees in setting up and administering pension schemes. Draft documentation; negotiate with the Inland Revenue and other regulators and analyse new cases and legislation.

Applicant Requirements

We envisage that the successful candidate will possess at least NQ - 3 year’s post qualified experience (PQE), however we will accept applications from candidates of all levels of experience, who are able to demonstrate the necessary skills for the role. The ideal candidate will be a Pensions Lawyer experienced in handling own caseload of pension matters including public sector schemes, trustees, product providers and unit trust managers. Looking for a team player who is client focussed and a good communicator with a strong practical approach to their workload. You will have good organisational and IT skills.
