Job: Regional Underwriter, Independent Appointments

Leading property and liability insurance organisation looking a Regional Underwriter, with extensive commercial underwriting experience, for their Manchester office.

Job Profile

Regional Underwriter sought to contribute to the underwriting profitability in the Manchester area. The role will involve promoting the company’s product, adequately pricing/classifying risks (liaising with Actuarial as required) and providing account management and service for a portfolio of regional clients. Key tasks will also include providing a local underwriting service for new business and renewals, attending meetings/functions, obtaining market information and feedback from brokers/clients and providing technical guidance.

Applicant Requirements

Candidates must possess extensive commercial underwriting experience and the ACII qualification or be working towards it. Knowledge of Property and Liability lines of business is essential and experience of the broker market in the Manchester area is also required. The role requires excellent relationships building ability, market awareness and self-motivation.
