Synopsis
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Property/Construction Solicitor to jion their Liverpool firm.
Job Profile
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Property/Construction Solicitor to join this prestigious law firm based in Liverpool. The main duties involve assisting in the continued development of the Property and Construction Department, by undertaking commercial property transactional work to a consistently high standard and to develop alone (or with others) the commercial client base of the Department, and, in turn, to promote and assist in the further development of the Firm as a whole. You will manage a caseload consisting of primarily commercial property transactions of a high transactional value and/or technically challenging. In turn this should lead to the generation of fee income to allow budgeted targets to be consistently met or exceeded. You will be expected to report to the Head of Department, giving details of new files with breakdowns of costs, etc... To supervise non-fee earning staff in their day to day duties, whilst be a reference point for other Fee Earners and support staff when they seek advice on technical and procedural issues relating to their own work. You will also need to identify relevant individuals training requirements and assist in training plans to meet those needs and objectives, while complying with the Solicitors Accounts Rules and the SRA Rules of the Professional Conduct of Solicitors.
Applicant Requirements
We envisage that the successful candidate will possess at least 5 year’s post qualified experience (PQE), however we will accept applications from candidates of all levels of experience, who are able to demonstrate the necessary skills for this role. Candidates must have several years’ previous experience of managing staff and creating and developing new business/clients in relevant legal market sectors, the ability to progress, with minimum supervision and have sound basic keyboard skills. Candidates will need to be self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and have a clear focus on high quality and business profit. Natural forward planners who can critically assess own performance, with a mature attitude and be comfortable in dealing with SME client base. Must be reliable, tolerant, and determined, well presented and businesslike.
