Job: Solicitor - Shipping, Independent Appointments

Synopsis

A qulaified Solicitor with 5 + years PQE is required to join the shipping team at a national law firm based in Liverpool.

Job Profile

An experienced Shipping Solicitor is required to join a well established Liverpool firm. The successful candidate will manage own caseload of high value, high quality matters. Caseload will consist predominantly of marine insurance claims including shipping (wet, dry & regulatory), collision, goods in transit, port operations, ship building/repair, salvage, charter party and Bills of Lading disputes, advice on war risks and matters arising out of ship building contracts of sale and purchase.

Applicant Requirements

We envisage that the successful candidate will possess at least 5+ year’s post qualified experience (PQE), however we will accept applications from candidates of all levels of experience, who are able to demonstrate the necessary skills for the role. Candidates will ideally possess experience in the following; collision, salvage, charter party and Bills of Lading disputes, advice on war risks and other marine insurance issues and matters arising out of ship building contracts of sale and purchase. Top academic results are essential.
